Weekend Review

We had a very fun, very busy weekend. One of my best friends came to visit for her birthday. Isn't that a little backwards...shouldn't we have gone to see her for her birthday. But, she is a great friend, who understands that I now have two crazy kids running my life and jumping in the car for a weekend is difficult. So, she came to us and we planned a fun weekend.

She came up Friday after work from Little Rock, and I made her dinner. Mason and I made her a beautiful birthday cake with her favorite color GREEN!!! Mason was so excited to have someone to play with him. He even sang Happy Birthday to Peggy, it was adorable and she videoed the entire song. We embarrassed her by making her blow out a candle. This was more for Mason's understanding of birthdays, but she loved it. After dinner we did some swimming and then put Mason to bed and watched Insurgent in the movie room.

Saturday, we got up bright and early or at least Michael and Mason got up early. The girls stayed in bed a little longer. Michael, being the good husband, made us a big breakfast. Eggs, bacon, rolls, the works. Peggy was shocked, but I wasn't. This has become part of our Saturday morning routine, since Addison arrived. After breakfast we headed to High Rise, a trampoline place that Mason loves. We all jumped...well everyone except Addison. We took turns watching AddieMo sleep. I loved the trampoline park and have decided Michael's birthday party is going to be there. Adult parties are the best!!

Even though, we were exhausted from jumping, we went home and jumped in the pool, grilled hamburgers, and made margaritas. Pool time = relaxing time. Addison slept the whole time. Mason swam for a little bit and we pushed his nap back a little so he could swim with all of us. We planned to go have sushi for dinner Saturday night, it is Peggy's favorite and the place we were going has a Hibachi grill. We decided it would be fun to do and Mason had a blast. He loved the fire part. Side note: this morning Michael was lighting a candle and Mason said FIIIIREEE in this evil voice that he used Saturday night. If my two year turns into a pyro then we can blame it on the Hibachi dinner. We unfortunately had a little girl at our table, who wasn't a big fan of the fire and so our guy didn't do as much. Oh well. Next time Mase Next time. We finished up at dinner and immediately packed up and we all went to the drive in movies. Mason's first drive-in. He loved it too. I was worried about keeping him up past his bedtime but he did awesome and slept until 8:30 the next day. We all enjoyed the Minions movie! Super cute.

I love the look Michael is giving Mason, who is probably explaining something baseball related.
Sunday, we went to baby Ben's baptism. More on that later this week. I look about a million adorable pictures. Peggy went with us to the after party and then headed home early afternoon. I had a blast with my friend. Most of my girl friends don't live in the same town as me and I really miss getting to have that time with them.

Please continue to pray for Leslie's family from A Blonde Ambition.

About Us

My photo
Michael and I have been together since 2006. We met in college at the University of Arkansas and began our life together. We bought a house and moved to Fayetteville from the Chicagoland area in November 2009. We were married in 2010 and had our first child, a boy, in 2013. Our favorite thing to do together is travel and we have gotten the opportunity to go to lots of fun places. We are working, breathing, playful parents. Our fur baby and child are the center of our crazy life, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
