Future Soccer Player or Baseball

Every Saturday we play soccer in the morning. Mason loves playing. It is a fun way for him to learn soccer and get some of his amazing toddler energy out. He does really good and each week I feel like he is getting better at listening to the coaches. At his age, they are working on the fundamentals of soccer and not really having games. Mason understand getting to the goal and spends most of his time trying to do just that.

I want him to enjoy sports and I want to let him play the sports he wants to play each year, but I think soccer and baseball are going to be two of the sports he enjoys and plays each year. As long as he is having fun and boy does this little guy love sports. I see my future weekends going away very quickly and being filled with baseball games and soccer games.

Running with Daddy.

Soccer Stud.

Eating our sprinkle donut. We go get a donut after soccer each week. It is kind of his reward for listening and doing good. When I played t-ball as a kid I remember always getting an icee at the end of games. I am pretty sure that was the only reason I kept playing each week. Yum.

Dribbling the Soccer Ball.

But maybe he will be a baseball stud too. My Mom bought Mason this pitching machine. I thought she was crazy. Mom he is 2 not 6. But she is did it and we set it up this weekend to play with it. I am pretty sure the adults enjoyed it as much as Mason did. Mason can actually hit the balls coming out of that thing, it was crazy. Michael said maybe he will be like Tiger Woods of baseball. I just laughed, a Daddy can dream, but I will say I was surprised he could do this too.

Addison 20 Weeks

Trying on our baptism dress last week. Addison loved it because it made the best noises and she could eat them.

I love Gracious May boots and shoes. Aren't these denim booties cute?

Mason loves loves his sister and asks to hold her every morning after her breakfast. She loves him and is always giving him a big huge smile.

She is so funny. The many faces she makes.

The weather has been amazing and we have been spending tons of time outside watching brother and Daddy play baseball.

She is constantly holding onto those legs/feet/toes. If she is laying on her back this is her position.

Yummy...toes!!!

This is her upset face. Why won't my Mommy share her wine with me?

Addison's Baptism

This weekend, we went to my hometown to have Addison Baptized at the same church Mason was baptized and the same church we were married. It is always wonderful to go back and see all the people who watched me grow up. Someday they will start telling stories on me to my kids. We had the grandparents their, my brother and some close friends (who we consider family). We wanted to keep it small. Addison did a great job and didn't fuss at all. Mason got to help hold the water.

We had lots of kiddos present for her baptism, which I always love.
I love this picture. I am not sure why I am laughing but I hope in 20 years I still look and smile at him and he just knows why/what is funny.

Mason helping out with the water. It was dangerous.

Kim married us and is about to have a granddaughter of her own. I think she is ready.

The crazy monkeys. This was really cute and I am glad my friend caught it on camera.

Addie Mo showing Ben how cool her feet are. I had just missed them holding hands.

When we first got home, Mason had fallen asleep in the car and did not wake up when we got home, so these three girls were having fun giggling and watching a movie.

Addison 19 Weeks

Addison is changing so much each day now. She is getting happier and happier. Her Daddy says he officially is enjoying this time now. Silly Daddy just likes it because he gets the sweetest smiles from her now instead of tears.

Addison is loving her brother more and more. If we are in the car and she starts to fuss Mason will sing to her and she immediately stops fussing. It is so sweet. I just love it. He also tells her to SHHHH. If we are at home he tells me she needs a paci, and he will go get hers and put it into her mouth. Good brother. She watches everything he does and wants to be sitting or standing up to see everything. She doesn't like to lay down unless on her belly watching.

She is sleeping better and better. (except last night) She has been going from 7:30-6:00. It is amazing. She is growing a ton right now. I think she is longer and heavier than she was even last week. She is already pulling her legs underneath her...shhh...I usually pick her up when I see that...TOO SOOOOON!!!! Okay...okay I let her do it some, but it makes me sad. The girls is the happiest baby ever and I love it.

On Friday, Addison had a little swelling in one eye.

I want to eat your hands Mama.

We have discovered our feet. This is how she is spending her days now.

Mason wanted to hold his sister. Addison wants to chew on everything. Mason kept saying Addison bit me, Mommy. He wasn't too happy about that, but I love anytime he wants to hold her. She just smiles and laughs at him.

I love this picture. We were talking to the neighbors and she was getting fussy. I figured it was time to eat, but as I walked to the house she went limp. I looked at her and she was asleep. Out cold. Poor baby partied very hard this weekend.

Watching brother play baseball and golf with Daddy.

She loves to be talked to.

Addison loves her brother and is always watching him.

Swimwear and a smile.

Addison always keeps her ankles crossed. Such a lady.

Weekend Football

WE had a wonderful weekend!! Friends and family and football...my three favorite Fs. Today, I will recap our football Saturday. We had a busy weekend...no need to throw all of the pictures and fun at you at once, right?

Saturday morning, my parents and brother came up, along with Michael's best friend, wife and son. It was great. I love having my house full of fun. The game was at 2:30, so we had lunch together, got Mason down for a nap. I got Addison fed and down for a nap and then we left my Mama to handle the kiddos. She was lucky, because she got 2+ hours of peace and quiet before the craziness started. I was a little worried that Mason was going to be upset when he woke up since we didn't take him to the game. He was talking about going ALL morning. My Mom said he was fine, and they even watched the game for a bit.

It was a hot hot gameday. I would have loved the game a whole lot more if it had been cool or cooler. The amount of sweat that I lost...I probably lost a few pounds in the sauna. It was fun and I am so glad I went. Even though, I texted my Mom about 100x. It was the first time I left Addison with someone besides Michael. I think I did pretty good. I know Addison did good. Nana loves to spoil her grandbabies and love on them. Nana makes the best babysitter...that's what Grandparents are for right. Love, Spoil, and Play.

Addison ready for the game.

We are ready for the game. All dressed in our red.

Mason wanted a selfie with Mama. This was one of 100,000 he took.

Time for a Daddy Mason picture. Mason's new thing grabbing our faces to ensure we are paying attention to him.

Instead of saying Cheese...I say Mason give me your happy face and this is the face I get.

Our annual, first game picture. I remember before we got in the car this year.

Dad wanted a first game picture.

Love this.

My favorite part of the game.

Towards the end of the game...the stadium was emptying out.

Love these blue eyes. This is where we will be spending the weekend. By the pool.

Soccer

This past weekend, Mason started soccer. I was so excited to learn that there was a soccer league for his age. I didn't think he was going to get to play until next year, but this league takes kids as young as 2.5yrs. Mason is a sports kid and I have really wanted to get him involved in something. I thought it would be a good way to make friends and for him to gain some skills. He always wants to play baseball or soccer or golf. I am okay with all of those sports. So, we got him signed up and he had his first "game" Saturday.

Michael was out of town on his yearly guys golf trip and was a little sad that he missed Mason's first ever game, but we took lots of pictures and talked to him on the phone before and after. When we called him before, Mason was so excited. We were sitting in the parking lot and he was telling yelling at his Daddy to tell him ALL about soccer and the goals and how he was going to fall down. Yes. He told him about falling down before he played. Crazy kid. It was the funniest and cutest conversation.

Mason did so good for his first time. He didn't cry and he loved kicking the ball into the goal. He wasn't the greatest at listening to the coaches, but we can work on that. They played red light green light and he understood get the ball into the goal. I was very proud of him and that he seemed to really have fun, which at his age is by far the most important part of soccer. My parents went with us and I think Grandpa was extra proud. Mason told his Papaw where to sit and watch him. At the end they got a stamp and he ran straight over to my parents to show them his stamp. I will say his attention span lasted about 30 minutes and then he wanted to check out the other fields and the playground at the church. We don't have soccer this weekend, because of Labor Day, but next weekend and the next 6 weekends you will find us playing soccer Saturday mornings.  You will also find us getting Mason a sprinkle donut after...his request.

Ready to go..minus his jersey.

Got to include Lil Miss watching.

He understood the ball goes into the goal.

Getting a water break.

Mason had to be the first kid to run the tunnel.

And straight into the goal.

Running to show off his stamp.

Look Papaw I got a stamp.

About Us

My photo
Michael and I have been together since 2006. We met in college at the University of Arkansas and began our life together. We bought a house and moved to Fayetteville from the Chicagoland area in November 2009. We were married in 2010 and had our first child, a boy, in 2013. Our favorite thing to do together is travel and we have gotten the opportunity to go to lots of fun places. We are working, breathing, playful parents. Our fur baby and child are the center of our crazy life, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
